malabo naman atang kumalat yung pic on the day itself? ano yun, ipoproject sa electronic scoreboard habang commercial break? Naturally lalabas yan pag na-upload na sa PC and nalagay na sa site. And besides, kung hindi sila proud sa ginawa nila eh sa tingin nyo ba ipopost pa nila yan over the internet? C'mon, Gawi should have thought a better palusot than using our conscience against us. That won't work this time.
hindi naman sa pagmamalinis pero I don't think na may taga UP na that would stoop that low para gumamit ng dirt finger para magrefer sa USTe. What they did was way below the line and absolutely rude in every aspect. And I don't think there is any good explanation behind that pic. And kaya siguro tahimik pa rin until now yung mga taong involved kasi nag-iisip pa rin sila ng way para malusutan yung multong ginawa nila. Well siguro kakailanganin nila ulit ng additional 2 years para masagot yung mga yun just like the "UP kami, eh kayo?" banner!
Pathetic talaga. Biglang lumagpak below sea level ang respeto ko sa new breed ng Gawi (take note hindi ko nilalahat).
Pansin ko may big L na nagpose din. Sino ngayon ang losers?!

Remember, nung 2005, isang tomasino ang nagpatanggal ng rule na i-ommit ang highest at lowest scores so malamang may bias na agad sa mga scores tapos meron ding isang hurado na tomasino ulit ang nagbigay ng napakababang score sa pep natin.
Kung tinanggal yung highest at lowest scores, 2 points ang lamang natin sa UST nung taon na yun e. Buti naman at ibinalik yung rule.
IMHO, meron din namang years na deserving talaga ang UST na manalo - 2002, 2003, 2004 at 2006.

I will now call that pic as the SDT scandal.
actually, the thomasians in PEX are silent about the picture. The most they can say is "They are just having fun".
I really have high regards with the SDT, kasi, they are afterall one of the better dance troupes in this country. I have so high respect with UST as a school, and I respect many thomasians.
Pero yun, I hope some people in UST, especially those in their administtration would do something with regards to those people in the pics. Being members of UST's premier dance troupe, they should be more careful on their moves, because they represent their school. And I know many thomasians are ashamed of that pic, at alam ko na nadadamay sila dahil sa picture na yan. So sana the people at UST would do something with that.
I am still in a celebratory mood right now, and nakakalungkot lang kasi nadadampen ang spirit ko with the different chismis na kumakalat sa paligid. Pero I am still happy, and I am so proud of our pep squad. At ngayon nga sa paglabas ng scandal na iyan, i am prouder with our pep, kasi alam kong they are mature enought not to do something like that.
Kahit na wala tayong kurso sa theology at morality, mas mukha namang maayos ang asal natin kesa sa kanila. Tayo, we show what we feel. We show our love for our school, and we show our hatred for our opponents.
Mas naging proud ako sa pagiging taga-UP ko.

what's with the "sa mga nagkalat nito sana masaya na kayo?"..duh..kasi, kung ayaw nyong kumalat ang something, wag ipopost sa net..naman..
"minsan din nating pinagkatuwaan ang mga kalaban nating koponan" SO KATUWAAN LANG PALA UNG PIC NA YUN? HINDI BA YUNG KABASTUSAN SA KABILANG KOPONAN AT SA HARAP PA TALAGA NG LOCKER ROOM?

It's not an issue of when they did it. The issue is, they did it. Saying that they did it "just for fun" or "hindi naming akalaing kakalat" are just lame, pitiful excuses. They should've thought of that before posting it online. Better yet, they should've thought of that before doing the entire thing.
That Multiply post by the former Gawi didn't do any good. All the excuses made it even more frustrating. I'm not even asking for an apology, because God knows they weren't really sorry for what they did. A simple reassurance that it will never happen again would've been just fine.

Regarding the supposed "rebuttal" made by the SDT member, I agree with him/her on some parts, particularly on...
...The fact that everyone has resorted to "below-the-belt" tactics at some points just to annoy the opposing team;
...The issue that we have at certain times, made fun of their students, and as some of the posts here can attest to, their school;
...The possibility that those juvenile delinquents in the picture prolly never intended for those pics to come out, much less be the subject of disdain not just of iskos/iskas, but every human being with breeding.
BUT...
...UP has always been "in-your-face" when it comes to critiquing friends and opponents alike. In internet language, we are as WYSIWYG as you can get. There's a huge difference between "in-your-face" (note: the "SO?" banner which they absolutely abhor was made specifically with the intent to openly annoy them and knock them off their high horses), and "hide-inside-your-dominican-
robes-and-pretend-to-be-royal-and-pontifical-while-flipping-
the-other-team-off" style which they so eloquently demonstrated in that pic. You hate UP for our arrogance and angst? Get used to it! We're here to stay and we're not going to apologize for something we blatantly do and are intentionally showing to everyone. Look inside your backyard. It's not as pristine as you would like us to believe. It's called hypocrisy, my dear Gawi member. Look it up in the dictionary.
...Yes we make fun of the lackluster performance of the SDT this year, which pales in comparison with the excellence you've shown in the previous years (that was a compliment, dear Thomasians, in case you couldn't recognize it). Yes, we guffaw at the ridiculous costume that made your troop look like sperms from hell. Yes we roll-on-the floor with unabashed laughter at the yellow wigs that belong more in New Orleans in Mardi Gras, or in Remedios Circle in Pride parade or whatever. But, as I said earlier... It's IN YOUR FACE! We make no excuses for doing so.
...As for the argument that those puerile Thomasians never really intended for those pics to come out, well, that just proves my point. If you're gonna do something distasteful, own up to it. And don't use "they were just having fun" as an excuse. The problem with them is, they were way too "cerebrally challenged" to realize that what they post online will come out eventually. And to hide behind that moronic excuse is, well, cheap. Cheaper than our fake Havaianas, don't you think?
So, without shame, and donning our sweat-drenched 99-peso maroon shirts and fake rubber slippers, and waving our 2-peso cartolinas, we openly and candidly tell you: UP KAMI! MANIGAS KAYO!
