It’s so funny, kasi my friend Angela was asked by her parents what she wanted for her 18th birthday. They made her choose between a new car, a trip to Europe, or a debut, and Angela chose the car! I mean, hello!!!!! Your debut only comes once you know! One night of dancing and partying and who knows what with the boys after, hihihi… you never know! I guess it was kasi her parents could only afford one of the options. Pero Mommy and Daddy are buying me a CRV next month after I finish my driving lessons so OK lang for me, di ba? Wawa naman si Angela.

So anyway, we had Cotillion practice kanina, and it was, like, so hirap OH MY GOD! Kasi the dance teacher, this gay guy named Oskie, wanted me to have like this dance solo with just me and my escort. Wait, I’ll explain about my escort first. He’s Aldreen Xavier Chan, you know, the ones who own all those banks and stuff. He’s not gwapo, pero my Daddy likes him kasi Aldreen’s dad and my dad are golf buddies. Plus Aldreen’s gay, but don’t tell anyone ha, it’s a secret. Aldreen’s dad might kill him if he finds out, oh my God kawawa naman si Aldreen.

As I was saying, we were having Cotillion practice di ba, tapos gusto ko nang awayin si Oskie kasi ang kulit niya SOBRAAAAA he was, like, sobrang irritating! So medyo nag-shouting match kami, you know, and then he called me a rich selfish brat, and then I yelled back, “You dirty faggot! Ang kapal ng mukha mo! If it wasn’t for Mommy you’d be dying of AIDS!” because it’s true, Mommy made him a DI in this really nice club. Mommy kasi spends all her time in dance clubs. She likes dancing, and she’s really good at it, too. I even met her DI, this ultra-gwapo guy named Diego. Soooobra siyang gwapo I swear! Like, sobra siyang macho and sobrang galing sumayaw. You should see my Mom and Diego dance the tango! The way Mommy’s hips grind to Diego’s hips I swear. Sobra na nga silang close ng Mommy ko eh, they even go on trips together. Last year they went to Sweden to watch some dance competition. Daddy was in the States then, he had to meet some business partners daw. I think it was Tita Louie he met, something about a piece of property in New York. Mommy told me not to tell Daddy she was gone, kasi Daddy doesn’t like Diego much. I don’t know why. Daddy can’t dance kasi eh. Hihihi. I’m so evil!

Per OK na kami ni Oskie ngayon, Mommy talked to him kasi, kasi nga it’s only two more days. Buti na lang good mood din si Mommy kasi dumating na yung Jimmy Choo shoes na inorder niya from the States. Custom made for my debut, three pairs yun. One na strappy gold sandals for my entrance, then my dancing shoes na red alligator, and then for the dinner and everything else, these 3-inch stilettos na black leather na may embossed old rose na leather shaped like flowers. Soobrang ganda!!!! I’m so excited na! Tapos dumating na din yung mga gowns ko, I’ll be wearing three gowns din syempre. Yung una, Mommy bought off the rack sa Barneys sa States, spaghetti-strapped na Badgley Mischka gown from their Fall 2003 RTW collection. It’s long and purple and really, really sexy. And then for the cotillion, I’m wearing this black flapper dress that Mommy bought from Chloe, you know, the designer line of Stella McCartney. Sobra siyang cute kasi flapper dress for the foxtrot and stuff, ang cute ng dance ko sa Cotillion I swear!!!!!

And then last, yung dress ko for the dinner itself, this black sort of see-through dress by Elie Saab, you know, from her Spring Couture collection. The one with white detail. I swear, ang ganda niya!!! I’m like, really excited.

OH MY GOD!!!!! Mommy just called! She said Grandma’s giving me daw her diamonds! I swear, ako ang favorite apo ni Lola! It’s like the family heirloom! I knew it! Hahaha! Inggit ngayon sa akin si Julianna! Kasi nung debut niya, ang binigay lang ni Grandma sa kanya, yung jade bracelet na ang pangit! Oh my God ang pangit talaga nun! Hahaha!!!!! Who cares if it’s an antique? Ang pangit naman! Who wears green, I swear!

Grabe sobra na akong excited. Daddy says Tita Louie, his business partner, is giving me a two-week holiday sa Boracay kaya nag-gy-gym ako the past two months. Mommy doesn’t like Tita Louie, though, I don’t know why. Yun tuloy, nag-away na naman sila ni Daddy kasi the day after my debut, si Daddy at Tita Louie ang sasama sa akin sa Boracay. I can bring along three of my bestest girlfriends, tapos si Daddy at Tita Louie magsa-stay somewhere else. May titignan daw silang mga bahay sa Boracay, I don’t know. Pero I like Tita Louie, eh. She taught me how to drink tequila. At first I was like, YAK KADIRI you know, I wanted to throw up. Pero ngayon OK lang. Plus she has this really gwapo son, Joshua, who’s two years older than me. I think he’ll go to my debut. Sabi ni Tita Louie he likes me daw, hihihi. Sana nga. He’s studying in La Salle. I wonder if Tita Louie will bring him to Boracay? Please… he can stay with me and my girlfriends kasi magiging busy si Daddy at Tita Louie. Para din meron kaming defender di ba. Ang cute pa naman namin ng mga friends ko: sina Jella, Amy, Chrissie and me.

Haaaaay… two more days before my debut. And then I’ll be a woman. Nakakatawa, this guy who has a crush on me, Corey from the British school, said he’d have some kind of special gift for me on my birthday. He asked me what my room number was sa hotel where I’ll be staying so I told him. He’ll have it delivered daw. I asked him what it was. He said something about strawberries and balloons. Yum! I love strawberries! He’s a funny guy, that Corey.
